MESSAGE TO OUR COMMUNITY

We are so grateful for your engagement and support this past year!

2021 Year Review

Here are some highlights:

Completed and submitted our grant to the National Institutes of Health (NIH)

iQsonics joined forces with CHOC-TAC (Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Thompson Autism Center), UCLA CART (Center for Autism Research and Treatment), and Cal State Fullerton, submitting a grant proposal to NIH initiative Promoting Research on Music and Health: Phased Innovation Award for Music Interventions (R61/R33 Clinical Trial Optional). If funded, the 5-year research study will include a clinical trial of SS4Kids with 200 children with autism, with training for their parents and caregivers to effectively play the program at home and receive support from the developing Community of Practice (parents, professionals, administrators, and subject matter experts).
We welcome our research team investigators: Dr. Jonathan (“Tom”) Megerian, Director of CHOC-TAC; Dr. HyeKyeung Seung, Chair of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Dept. at CSUF, Dr. Hayoung Lim, Director of Music Therapy Clinic at ORU and iQsonics Director of Science, accompanying Co-Lead David Sonnenschein, CEO of iQsonics.

SS4KIDS Website has a new look and is easier to navigate.

We have re-organized the website to provide support to the various user demographics for SS4Kids including Parent/Caregiver, Clinician/Teacher, and Administrators. Also, our training video on ‘How to Play the Game’ includes a Spanish version. We’re excited to announce that SS4Kids has reached over 400 users who have registered to play our game!

SS4KIDS presented at 2 virtual events:
